Western Cape grandmother assault case postponed

19-year-old, Luvo Ngqaza, accused of assaulting his 82-year-old grandmother, has appeared briefly in the Kuils River Magistrate's Court. He faces charges of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and contravening the Older Persons Act. A video of the incident went viral on social media. The matter has been postponed to the 28th of November, for further investigation. Ngqaza is out on a warning, with the court accommodating his matric exam schedule.
