Israel Defence Forces (IDF) spokesman Colonel Peter Lerner has told Sky News its incursion into southern Lebanon is to "negate, destroy and dismantle" the attack infrastructure that Hezbollah has established. When asked how far into the country the IDF plan to go, he said the evacuation order in place is for people around the border but there is a "threat in the south because that is the stronghold of Hezbollah".
