The eThekwini municipality has announced that a 12-month-long water reduction plan will begin next Thursday. The city says the water and sanitation department has told the uMngeni uThukela water to reduce its water abstraction from the uMngeni system by 8.4%. The municipality says that demand is far outstripping supply.
