The vice-presidential nominees in this year’s United States (US) presidential race have faced off in a once-off debate just over a month before election day. Governor Tim Walz who is Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris’ running mate and Senator JD Vance, the Republican VP pick on Donald Trump’s ticket, clashed in a 90-minute live televised debate that CBS news hosted. The two VP nominees had a respectful debate clashing on policy, from the economy, immigration and climate change to abortion rights, paid childcare and gun-violence.
