UNGA | Ramaphosa reiterates that UN-US intervention in the Middle East is needed

President Cyril Ramaphosa has warned that with the escalation between Israel and Hezbollah across Lebanon's southern border, that the world was now entering dangerous territory. He spoke exclusively to SABCNews at the conclusion of his visit to the United Nations General Assembly in New York. He reiterated the South Africa position that in the absence of action from Security Council, that the United States needed to make an intervention to prevent the situation from spiraling into a world war. In a broad ranging discussion he touched on other geo political concerns including Ukraine, the reform of the U.N. Security Council - in addition to the Government of National Unity as having unleashed a new spirit of enthusiasm in the country.
