Donald Trump has spoken publicly for the first time since a gunman apparently attempted to shoot him on his Florida golf course, saying special agents did an "excellent job". Ryan Routh, 58, the suspect in the second assassination attempt, has appeared in court and charged with two gun crimes. More charges could follow. The former president appeared to try to use the "apparent assassination attempt" to put pressure on his opponents, saying that "inflammatory" language from Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, is "causing" him to be shot at.
