A man is accused of driving drunk and causing a crash that killed a St. Louis police officer on Sunday. Police say Officer David Lee was killed after responding to a one-vehicle crash. Lee was taken to the hospital and died while in surgery. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department identified Ramon A. Chavez-Rodriguez as the suspect driving at least 71 miles per hour before the crash. The speed limit was 55 miles per hour. Lee was 44-years-old. Court documents show Chavez-Rodriguez "does not have legal status in the United States" and was driving without a license, according to officials.
