SAFCEI lodges appeal against Koeberg Nuclear Power Station's extension

The Southern African Faith Communities' Environment Institute (SAFCEI) has lodged an appeal with the National Nuclear Regulator against its decision to grant Koebeg Nuclear Power Station an extention of life for its unit one reactor for an additional twenty years. The institute contends that the decision is flawed. It says the unexpected shutdown of unit one a week ago, coincided with its appeal.
