SACP calls for Basic Education Minister's head

SACP General-Secretary, Solly Mapaila says if he was the President, he would have fired Basic Education Minister, Siviwe Gwarube from cabinet. Mapaila made the comments on the sidelines of the 10th SADTU National Congress in Ekurhuleni. His comments come after Gwarube boycotted the signing of the Basic Education Laws Amendment Bill earlier this month. Meanwhile, ANC Deputy President, Paul Mashatile says there will be hiccups in the Government Of National unity but it will succeed- this as the GNU recently marked 100 days.
