5 months ago 25

Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies Solly Malatsi has intervened to find a solution to enable three million South Africans to continue to have access to radio and television services. South Africans ran the risk of being cut off from news and entertainment if Sentech switched off selected signal transmitters due to non-payment of services by the SABC. The agreement stipulates that Sentech will not switch off the SABC for at least the next 2 months while options are being explored to have a long term sustainability model.
