The Northern Cape is pushing ahead in exploiting its night skies to attract tourists. Tourism Minister, Patricia De Lille has approved the provinces Astro-Tourism Strategy aimed at attracting stargazers to the Karoo. Last year six star guides were trained through a project initiated by the Square Kilometer Array and the provincial tourism body.
