Municipal workers' unions have urged the newly appointed directors at the Rustenburg Local Municipality in the North West to stabilise the municipality and attend to critical employee-related concerns. The municipality spent two years without filling vacant positions for senior managers. This emerged during a media briefing in Rustenburg. These vacancies are said to have created instability in the municipality, particularly regarding service delivery.
