Remote Work | Tax implications for nomad visa holders: Prof Keith Engel

Due to a skills shortage in South Africa, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced in his State of the Nation Address in 2022 that efforts would be made to provide a so-called nomad visa for remote workers, allowing skilled international workers to work within South Africa's borders and aid in boosting the fortunes of the local economy. However, the process appears to have hit a number of snags, with the recent one having something to do with a need to fix the tax regulations in this regard.
