The Passenger Rail Association of South Africa has managed to restore Metrorail services on six of the eight lines in the Durban metro. This after extensive vandalism of rail infrastructure countrywide during the COVID-19 pandemic. New blue, modern People's Trains -- also called Isitimela Sabantu in isiZulu -- are being put into service as the old yellow train carriages are being phased out. Railway stations have been revamped, with safety prioritized at stations and on board. For more news, visit sabcnews.com and #SABCNews on all Social Media platforms.
