Parents urged to embrace family values

Traditionalists have urged parents to instil family values in young men to curb social ills that infiltrate many societies. They believe that the initiation of boys into manhood should be an opportunity to teach young men positive behaviour including respecting women and children. The Eastern Cape is one of the provinces where the customary rite of passage is shrouded in mystery.
