Nurses reject pay rise offer during chancellor's speech at Labour conference

Chancellor Rachel Reeves says she's proud to have delivered "real, meaningful pay rises" to millions of public sector workers. However, during her speech at the Labour Party conference in Liverpool, the Royal College of Nursing has rejected the government's 5.5% pay rise offer. During the speech, Ms Reeves also looked ahead to the budget saying they have "real ambition", and will be poised to "fix the foundations" of the economy.
