The Democratic Nursing Organization of South Africa (DENOSA) in Gauteng has condemned austerity measures imposed by the National Treasury following its decision to halt the employment of new employees - except in instances where offers of employment have already been released. DENOSA Gauteng chairperson Simphiwe Gada has called on the National Treasury and Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi to give hospital officials powers to appoint and dismiss staff.
