More than 1,000 prisoners set to be released early in England and Wales

Around 1,700 prisoners are to be released early from jails in England and Wales, in a bid to cut overcrowding. The chief inspector of prisons is warning that it's "inevitable" some of those released will go on to commit more crimes - but the government says they do not have the space to keep them locked up.
