Millennium, Citadel Spur New Breed of Hedge Fund Cubs

Ken Griffin’s Citadel and Izzy Englander’s Millennium Management are taking up the role of playing godfather to a generation of hedge fund stars. Nearly 20 traders from Millennium and Citadel are seizing the chance to go it alone, adding to a number of hedge-fund startups that have raised some $14 billion this year, which hedge fund research firm PivotalPath says is a record.
