Limpopo | Calls on government to reopen factories

6 months ago 53

Residents of various townships that used to host industrial sites that were economic hubs across Limpopo during the Bantustan governments have called on the government to consider re-opening the factories. Over 50% of factories in townships such as Seshego, Lebowakgomo and Nkowankowa are unoccupied. Residents blame the closure of the factories for high crime and unemployment rates in their areas.
