A shooting in Keiskammahoek and an arrest in Cradock, 220 km away, led to a major breakthrough against a kidnapping syndicate in the Eastern Cape. The arrests come after the safe release of Cape Town tourist Alize van der Merwe and a Chinese woman who has not yet been identified without a ransom being paid.
