President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran – which backs Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza – called for stopping Israel's "insane barbarism in Lebanon before it sets the region and the world on fire" during his speech at the UN General Assembly on Tuesday. Meanwhile Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that Israel's killing of top Hezbollah commanders couldn't bring the Iran-backed Lebanese militant group to its knees.
