GEMS symposium aims to tackle health issues

The second largest medical aid scheme in the country, the Government Employees Medical Scheme, recently held a symposium in Cape Town to tackle a number of health issues. It was held under the theme - Innovate, Integrate and Accelerate - a Universal Health Coverage Commitment. The Scheme's Chief Operations Officer, Dr Vuyo Gqola, spoke to the SABC on how the scheme ensures that its more than two-point-three million beneficiaries are effectively serviced, given complaints usually raised by beneficiaries against medical aid schemes.
