Gas emissions | Electricity minister urges good business relations between Sasol and Eskom

Minister of Electricity and Energy Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa says the state will take the lead in protecting the interest of Sasol which will safeguard the economy of the country. Ramokgopa says in order for the country to reduce greenhouse gas emission its important to improve business relations between Sasol and Eskom. The South African Government has set ambitious targets: reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 50% below 2005 levels by 2030 and achieve net zero emissions by 2050. Ramokgopa spoke after witnesseing Eskom and Sasol sign a Memorandum of Understanding to ensure that it reduces its carbon footprint.
