[EXCLUSIVE] Rape survivor speaks ahead of serial rapist Nkosinathi Phakathi's sentencing

Ahead of the sentencing of serial rapist Nkosinathi Phakathi, one of his victims, who was 14 years old at the time, speaks to SABC News senior reporter Chriselda Lewis about her eight-year wait for justice. Phakathi will be sentenced tomorrow at the High Court sitting in Palmridge after being found guilty of several transgressions including 90 counts of rape, 4 counts of compelled rape, and 43 counts of kidnapping. Phakathi committed these offences in and around Ekurhuleni, from 2012 until 2021. Most of his victims were school-going children, the youngest being 9 years old.
