Eskom says the Koeberg Nuclear Power Station's Unit One reactor is currently being returned to service. It was shut down eight days ago, after failing a routine test. The Southern African Faith Communities' Environment Institute is complaining about a lack of transparency at the power station. It says the shutdown coincided with its appeal to the National Nuclear Regulator against granting an extension of life for Unit One for another 20 years.
