Emfuleni Municipality no longer MFMA beneficiary - Lebogang Maile weighs in

Earlier this month (September 2024) Eskom attached the Emfuleni Municipality's bank accounts to recover more than R8 billion in debt. This follows failure by the municipality to comply with the National Treasury's debt relief programme. Gauteng MEC for Finance and Economic Development Lebogang Maile is now moving to ensure that this situation is turned around with speed. The MEC joins us live now for this discussion.
