EC park's anti-poaching units paying off

The battle against rhino poaching is ongoing in South Africa. Close to 500 rhinos were slaughtered in 2023 for their ivory horns. This is a 10% increase from 2022. The Mountain Zebra National Park in the Eastern Cape attributes its absence of poaching incidents to their very well-trained and disciplined K9 unit, which keeps visitors and intruders to the park on their toes.
