Eastern Cape police have recovered unlicensed firearms and suspected stolen assets, among other things, at the crime scene where four suspects were shot dead in Keiskammahoek. Deputy Provincial Commissioner for Crime Detection, Major General Zithulele Dladla, says police were following up on a lead of a person with an unlicensed firearm when they were met by a hail of bullets early in the morning. Police returned fire, and four suspects were shot dead. Dladla says they are closely monitoring the area as it seems to be a hideout for criminals.
