The Clermont choir, under the leadership of Maskandi artist Khuzani Mpungose, undertook a tour to the UAE and the USA in September. Mpungose was thrilled to present Maskandi music on an international stage during the 30 years of democracy celebration. The Clermont choir and Khuzani Mpungose collaborated for a powerful performance at the United Nations General Assembly. They kicked off their tour in Dubai and then rocked the stage in New York in front of the South African delegation and other esteemed audiences.
