Over 8 million tourists came to South Africa in 2023. This is an increase of 48,9% from the 5,7 million tourists recorded in 2022. Statistics South Africa released the international tourism data today. The data indicates that in August 2024, at least 2.3 million travellers entered and exited South Africa.
