The battle against rhino poaching continues in South Africa. Almost 500 rhinos were slaughtered last year for their horns. This is a 10% increase from 2022. The Mountain Zebra National Park in Cradock in the Eastern Cape attributes its "no poaching incidents" to a very well-trained and disciplined K9-unit, which keeps visitors and intruders to the park on their toes.
