Power utility Eskom says it acknowledges that the 36% tariff hike it seeks from the beginning of next April is steep. In its latest multi-year price determination applications, the group is seeking massive electricity price hikes over the next three years. The utility is requesting another double digit hike of 11.81% from April 2026- and another 9% the year after. We speak to Mthunzi Luthuli, Energy Analyst.
